TV9 Network achieved a remarkable 269.05% month-on-month revenue uplift with AdPushup’s Plug-and-Play Refresh Extension and AP Lite.
TV9 Network, promoted by Associated Broadcasting Company Pvt Ltd (ABCL), is the largest news network in India. The news network operates a diverse portfolio of news channels: TV9 Bharatvarsh, and five in regional languages – TV9 Telugu, TV9 Kannada, TV9 Bangla, TV9 Gujarati, and TV9 Bangla. The network recently expanded its portfolio by launching News9Live, an English news channel.
On the digital front, TV9 Digital is a pioneer in offering multi-lingual content on personal finance through its dedicated platform, Money9.

Noticing the need for a solution to increase earnings without impacting user experience, the TV9 Network team began testing with AdPushup to explore potential solutions.
AdPushup’s AdOps experts thoroughly audited TV9 Network’s existing ad setup to understand their current configuration and identified further optimization and improvement opportunities.
Based on the findings, Adpushup proposed the following solutions:
The team first started with the implementation of PnP (Plug-and-Play). It is an extension created by the AdPushup product team for publishers with their own GAM (Google Ads Manager). Such publishers not only have their own GAM and AdX, but they also have their header bidding partners in most cases.
With the PnP Refresh extension, we replace the publisher’s GAM units after 30 seconds or a specified time with AdPushup’s GAM units after the first impression. Subsequently, all refreshes take place on AdPushup’s GAM.
However, unfilled first impressions are replaced by AdPushup ad tags in 5 seconds to ensure an uplift in overall yield and stabilize UX by avoiding blank spaces on the page.
Once the performance was stabilized, the team implemented AP Lite on the publisher’s websites.
Just like the PnP Refresh extension, AP Lite is another enterprise solution by AdPushup that caters to publishers who have their own GAM and have a heavy influx of direct deals. It provides features such as Ad Refresh and Header Bidding to optimize the revenue for publishers. AP Lite is ideal for large enterprises that are running their legacy ad operations and have less scope for layout optimization.
The implementation of the PnP Refresh extension led to a revenue uplift of 25%, which increased to 40% upon deployment of AP Lite.
